Electronic Arts has announced that it will open a new study in Seattle led by Marcus Lehto, known for being the co-creator of the halo franchise and, more recently, president and director of Games of V1 Interactive. Lehto will be the director of the game in the new study, which apparently has no name yet, after the closing of V1 interactive earlier this year.
I am very excited to announce that I joined EA as a game director, building a new study in the Seattle area working on first-person games, said Lehto on social networks earlier this week. «I can not wait to share more about what we are creating !!»

It saddens us to inform them that V1 Interactive will be officially closed, said Lehto s former company in March. We want to thank all the talented people of V1, both from the past and the present, which helped that the last 5 years be wonderful. And a sincere thanks to the incredible community that supported us ».
The only launch of V1 Interactive, Sintegration , was launched in June 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through Steam and received a rather mediocre critical response. The writing was quickly on the wall for the title since a few months after the launch, it was announced that it would eliminate its multiplayer modes totally from the video game. That said, only because the last game that Lehto released did not do well does not necessarily mean anything for the command of him in EA.
At this point, you do not know what Lehto and Electronic Arts are working beyond the fact that it will be a first-person game of some kind. Given the history of Lehto, the probably bet is a shooter of some kind. You can check all our previous Electronic Arts coverage here.
